I can understand what you're siayng. My family left for Singapore in 2000. I returned to Indonesia on my own in 2010 and has been trying to build a new life here. Singapore is a nice country to live in. Clean air, discrimination only on the basis of ability, clean and efficient government, nice neighborhoods, a very safe place and nice for families to live in. But there was, for a long time, a sense of emptiness in me, that something was missing. I went back to find out what that is and found it.I feel there is so much more to do here, so much that is needed, so much that needs to be done. I feel I can play great role here with such endless opportunities before me. While the events of 1998 had been terrible, it did pave the way for greater recognition of Chinese Indonesians as equal in dignity and before the law (as every human being is). And I believe that actions taken by people such as you would help to close the divisions that had existed between the Chinese and other Indonesians. This division was created by the many rulers of this country before and to some extent self-imposed, as is often the case today. That is the only thing that worries me.Regardless, thank you for doing what you are doing, and the best to you and your endeavors!
